POSITION OVERVIEW:
 

The Recruitment Manager oversees and leads the day to day recruitment activities for Koori HR. Their role is as a point of contact for Koori HR, promoting a professional first-impression and demonstrating the organisations ‘Values’.
They will monitor and support appropriate and professional processes to attract and retain applicants allowing Koori HR to meet and maintain staff recruitment and administration of client service agreements, and the administration of recruitment services provided to candidates, clients and communities.


It is vital that they have the ability to establish and maintain strong business and community relationships and links with clients, applicants, office staff and community organisations to allow clients to experience a positive and lasting business partnership with the Company.
 

They will also lead and maintain the required recruiting systems and maintain office systems and processes crucial in supporting the organisations business and credibility.
 

SCOPE
 

This position is varied with the incumbent required to time both seeking out new client relationships, following up client and applicant recruitment calls, community liaison or visiting employers and/or employees on site.
 

Koori HR will work closely with the Federation of Victorian Traditional Owners Corporation to support their vision of ensuring work opportunities for their peoples.
 

KEY FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Aspects
 To be the largest Indigenous Employer by creation of employment opportunities for indigenous people
 Actively contribute to the achievement of the Koori HR three daily missions of “No Injuries to Anyone”, “No Harm to the Environment” and “No Rework or Error”.
 Support operational activities to meet with Koori HR ‘Code of Conduct’
 To project a positive and professional image of Koori HR to new customers, potential employees and visitors.
 To create positive and appropriate relationships with organisations to support recruitment activities.
 To provision high quality reliable workforce to our clients

 

Operational Aspects
 Overview the management of major client accounts
 Consultation and community liaison with stakeholders, including major clients and government to access financial assistance, opportunities and applicants for achieving employment/training outcomes
 Assist with the recruitment of candidates, input data and assist with reports
 Assist with the preparation of candidate’s identification, Drivers Licences, Certifications and Tickets
 Ensure operational processes, filing and reporting is occurring as required including: applicants files and information input into Job
Adder and Skytrust computer systems in a timely manner.
 Day-Day co-ordination and support of site workers placement, queries, travel, etc.
 Undertake interviews with candidates
 Monitor personnel files and document control by Koori HR staff to ensure that the management and storage of these comply with the Privacy Act.
 Provide direction and support to new and junior staff as required.

 

Provide support to Koori HR Directors and Managers as required
 Develop strong relationships with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.
 Contribute to reports for the Koori HR Company Directors
 Represent Koori HR at trade shows, exhibitions and other events
 Ensure the maintenance of confidential personnel records and files
 Ensure compliance with the applicable WHS Act, Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and supporting regulations, Codes of

Practice, Employment Awards and associated documents.
 Complete client site OH&S audits and workplace inspections as required
 Assist in reviewing and developing office systems, policies and procedures so that they are imbedded into best practice
 Lead by example to encourage behaviours that promote the Company in a positive light.
 Promote an environment where the health and safety of all is valued and the workplace is happy and safe.

QUALIFICATIONS
 

Essential:
 Working knowledge and understanding of the Fair Work Act, Privacy Act, Occupational Health and Safety legislative framework and supporting regulations and codes
 Management, recruitment and sales experience
 Frontline experience coaching and working with people
 Current Australian Drivers Licence
 Construction Safety Card i.e.: White Card or equivalent (or ability to obtain)

 

Desirable:
 Vocational Qualifications in Human Resources / recruitment and Administration
 Previous Recruitment Management experience
 Established Victorian Business / Government relationships
